Keep in mind Folks, Steve may be the trophy hunter, but I supply the meat for the family. Ha! Ha! Yes, when it is time to eat....I provide the groceries. With that said, here is the buck that my husband recently took during one of our recent snow storms. Enjoy!

Know Your Role

Giving Thanks
Hey everybody! I hope your Thanksgiving was exactly how you hoped it would be. Mine was great. Family, friends and good food....what could be better. At this time of year I start to look around and realize just how much God has blessed me. Yes, I have a lot to be thankful for.
Well, I have been logging some long hours in the stand and all I can say is that my new Lady Dream Season suit is awesome. Numerous times I have had deer right under my feet; clueless to my presence. Some have even approached from downwind and never even knew I was in the same county. The scent control abilities of this suit, along with the awesome concealment that the Mossy Oak Treestand camo provides, makes for one deadly combination.
It didn't take long until I let an arrow fly and filled my second of three bow tags for the season. While it wasn't the big-boy I had hoped for, it was still a trophy in my eyes. Thrilled? Yep. Thankful? You bet!
Until next time.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Making Memories
Well, it may not be the biggest thing to hit the ground so far, but I couldn't have been happier!
Simply because my oldest son got to enjoy the experience with me. Hunting close to home I radio'd my husband that I had a shot a deer and he immediately brought Ridge up on the mountain to aid in the tracking chores.
I'm not sure who was more excited; him or me. After a short tracking job we found my deer nestled in a heavy thicket. What a joy it was to watch my son's face light up when we found it. It is something that I will not soon forget. I am so glad he was there to experience it with me. That is what this sport is really about...Making memories with the ones we love.
Now, with things starting to heat up in the whitetail woods, hopefully I can get a BBD before time runs out.
Untiil next time.....
