Just for You

Well, I just couldn’t wait any longer to tell you about what was in the brown box from Scentblocker. It is the new Lady Dream Season suit!!! And boy is it cool! Finally, a hunting suit specifically designed just for women!! I have been waiting for this day for a very long time and the folks at Robinson Outdoors have really outdone themselves. Everything about it is top-notch.
The first thing I noticed about this suit was….. how well it fit!
If you’ve been hunting in men’s clothing lately (we all have) then you understand how disagreeable they can be to the female body. This suit isn’t like that. Not at all! This suit seems to fit every curve; just right--- in all the right places; thanks to the tappered design in the back. The next thing I noticed was how extremely comfortable the outside material is. ScentBlocker calls it “Dream” fleece, obviously relating to the popular T.V. show, but I think it sums up exactly how the this suit feels….like a dream. It really is that comfortable.
The next thing I noticed about my “new favorite” hunting outfit was the logo on the right side of the sleeve. AWESOME!!!!!!! It made me feel like part of a gang. (I guess when you really think about it…I am. In fact we {lady hunters} all are). Of course the touch of pink just sets the whole thing off and the gray along the sides goes excellent with the Mossy Oak Treestand camo.
And the pants….they felt like slipping on a pair of
my favorite P.J.’s; comfortable in everyway. This might sound crazy (especially to the guys), but honestly, it was the first time I have ever felt attractive in my hunting clothes. In the past, what I wore to the treestand didn’t fit me well simply because it was cut primarily for a man’s physique. Wearing it didn’t make me feel very lady like either. Yes, I do believe it is possible to be a lady and still participate in a sport such as hunting. And now, t
hanks to Scentblocker, I can also look and feel like one too!!;

even if I am in 20’ up in a treestand.
Also, the "Dream Season" boots are nothing short of amazing. I have never had a pair of hunting boots that felt as comfortable as these do. My "little piggies" will defenitely be going in style this fall.

But don’t take my word for it. Check out the new suit for yourself and you will quickly understand why I am so excited. I think you will agree that everything about it reflects ScentBlocker’s passion to produce only the highest quality outdoor clothing. Now, that quality can be found in OUR clothes, for OUR hunts. From the tiny “deer head” logos that appear throughout the inside of the garment to the soft rubber logo insignia buttons, no area of the suit went unnoticed….and neither will you after you slip one on.
I absolutely can’t wait to hit the hills this fall with my Lady Dream Season suit. Thank you ScentBlocker for making such a wonderful and long overdue product!!!!

Next time it's Pizza, Pot Belly Pigs and a whole lotta' Mud Slingin'…................Jessi >>---->

The 4th, 3-D, and a Big Box

Well, the July 4th weekend has come and gone and I trust yours was as enjoyable as mine. Sometimes, life gets in the way of what really matters and it was nice to slow down, relax and spend some quality time with my family; especially this time of year when it seems a lot of attention gets directed at the upcoming hunting seasons. (I will be the first to admit though; my husband and I are just as guilty of that as anyone). Hopefully, wherever you were and whatever you were doing, you had loved ones by your side. There was a lot going on around our house with family members coming to visit, ATV rides to be taken, swimming lessons to be given and a number of fireworks displays for the kids to watch. But, when all was said and done, everyone had a wonderful time. Sadly, just like that….the weekend was over.

The following week, with thoughts of September and our hunt with Blake Christopher of Outfitters Edge.com as strong as ever in our minds, my husband and I, along with his dad, brother and 1 1/2 yr old nephew, headed out to the 3-D range for a round of arrow slingin’. A shortage of baby sitters didn’t deter us from doing what we love to do so much….SHOOT OUR BOWS! With the help of a rather large stroller, the four of us took turns navigating the sometimes steep, rocky path between targets. I am sure it was odd looking to the other shooters on the course but it worked! Where there is a will, there is a way. While the air was muggy and hot we all had a wonderful time; especially my husband. It isn’t often that he gets to spend time with his brother and dad at the same time. Without revealing any names, I did manage to beat one of the guys and finished 1 point behind another! I was extremely happy with how well I shot. 3-D courses can be very challenging, which is what makes them such a valuable training tool for pre-season preparation.

As the week came to a close I looked back with fond memories and ahead with anticipation and excitement. Hunting season is drawing near and there is a rather large box from Robinson Outdoors sitting in the corner with my name on it! I think I have a pretty good idea about what’s inside. I’m so excited!!!!!! Until next time…..
